Aside from identifying your budget when you are hunting for a good printer, you would also need to consider the cost of the cartridge or ink. You can shop around or do some research to look for the best printers that are suits your needs and at the same time not heavy on the pocket.
Before you but a printer, computer how much it would cost you every month. You can computer how many pages can be printed with one cartridge, and then compute how many months it can last. Actually you can try buying ink cartridge from a company that specializes in them can be less expensive rather buy them from the printer manufacture.
• Ask around
Nobody can best testify about the effectiveness of a printer other that your friends and family. Ask them about their printers and if they would recommend it. If you are looking for professional reviews, then there are a lot of websites and magazines that offer commentaries and reviews about different kinds of printers. Do some research.
Not all branded printers could be great. There are non-traditional brands which actually offer printers with same quality with that of branded ones. And it can even be less the price of the branded ones. Just when looking at non-traditional brands, make sure that they are tested by the market and people are attesting to its quality.
• Buying location
Whenever you are buying a printer or any computer hardware, make sure that you would be buying them from a trusted source. You can purchase from you local retail store, over the internet or online auction sites, like E-bay. You just have to be sure that you have checked the credibility of the vendor and at the same time check their return policy and warranty.
